Invisible In-Ear Hearing Aids in Pune (CIC & IIC)

Want to hear better without anyone knowing? An invisible ear aid sits deep inside your ear canal, so it’s practically impossible to spot, even from the side. At Prism Hearing, Speech and Balance in Viman Nagar, we check whether one suits your ears and your hearing, then fit and fine-tune it. You can try it at home, free, before you decide.

So small, no one will know

Invisible hearing aids are among the latest developments in hearing technology, made possible by miniaturised components. There are two main styles, both made to the shape of your ear.

The CIC (completely-in-canal) is a custom-made shell that holds all the electronics and sits deep in your ear canal. That gives it a big aesthetic advantage: hardly anyone can tell you’re wearing a hearing aid. A small extraction cord makes daily removal easy, and it works fully automatically.

The even smaller IIC (invisible-in-canal) fits deeper still, so it’s virtually undetectable. Both suit mild to moderate hearing loss and ear canals with room for them, which we check first.

Why people love them

Benefits of invisible hearing aids

Truly discreet

They sit deep in the canal, so they’re practically invisible.

Custom-fit comfort

Made to the shape of your ear for a secure, all-day fit.

Natural sound

Sitting close to the eardrum, they let your own outer ear gather sound naturally.

Fully automatic

No fiddly controls. It adapts to your surroundings on its own.

Mask & phone friendly

Nothing sits behind the ear, so masks, glasses and phones stay out of the way.

Extended-wear options

Some 100% invisible devices, such as Phonak Lyric, can be worn for weeks at a time, even while you sleep, which can help with night-time tinnitus.

A guide to choosing

The best invisible hearing aids for your ears

If you’re looking for the best and smallest hearing aids, here’s the honest answer: the best invisible hearing aid for you is the smallest one that fits your ear canal comfortably, gives enough power for your hearing and is easy to live with. Your audiologist narrows the choice after examining your ears and testing your hearing.

What makes the best IIC hearing aids for you

IIC hearing aids are the smallest of all, which brings trade-offs:

  • Fit comes first. Too tight can feel sore, and too loose can whistle.
  • Power has limits. The tiniest shells suit mild to moderate loss best.
  • Fewer extras. There’s often no room for Bluetooth streaming or a rechargeable battery, though this varies by model.
  • Tiny batteries. Most use the smallest disposable batteries, which need changing more often.
  • Regular cleaning. Sitting deep in the canal, they meet more wax, so their wax guards need changing regularly. We show you how.

When a slightly larger style is the better choice

An invisible style may not suit severe hearing loss, narrow or sharply curved ear canals, frequent ear infections or a lot of wax, or hands that find small parts hard. A receiver-in-the-ear (RITE) model is then a discreet alternative with more power, and many are rechargeable ear aids that stream calls from your phone. Every other style is on our page about hearing aids in Pune.

See a doctor or ENT specialist promptly if

  • Your hearing dropped suddenly, or hearing loss in one ear is new.
  • There is ear pain, bleeding or discharge.
  • Your hearing changed along with dizziness, or after a head injury.

These need a medical opinion first, not a hearing aid. Facial drooping, weakness or slurred speech need a hospital emergency department now. Please don’t put anything in the ear before it has been examined. Read our guides to sudden hearing loss and hearing loss in one ear.

Your visit

How we fit an invisible hearing aid

An invisible hearing aid is only as good as its fit, so see an audiologist in Pune who examines your ears first. Here’s how it works with us, with no pressure to decide on the day.

1. Consultation and ear check

We talk about where you struggle to hear and check each ear canal with video otoscopy.

2. Hearing test

A full audiometry test shows how much help each ear needs, and whether a small style has enough power.

3. Your options, explained

We explain your results in plain language and show you suitable styles and levels across six brands.

4. Free home trial

Try hearing aids in your daily life, at home and at work, before you decide.

5. Impressions and fitting

We take an impression of your ear canal for the custom shell, then fit and fine-tune it.

6. Follow-ups and care

We fine-tune as you settle in, show you how to clean it, and handle repairs within warranty using genuine parts.

The consultation and hearing test take about 30 to 45 minutes. A custom shell is made to order, so the fitting is a later visit.

Cost

CIC hearing aid price: what decides it

The price of a CIC or IIC hearing aid depends on a few things, and your consultation gives you the exact options.

Technology level

Usually Essential, Standard, Advanced or Premium. Higher levels handle noise and busy places better.

Style

Custom CIC and IIC shells are made to order from an impression of your ear.

Features

Extras such as Bluetooth or a rechargeable battery, where a small model has room for them.

One ear or two

If both ears need help, audiologists typically recommend a hearing aid for each.

What’s included

When you buy a hearing aid from us, the consultation, audiometry and video otoscopy are free, as are the trial, fitting, fine-tuning and six months of batteries.

Brand

Every brand offers several levels, so an Oticon CIC hearing aid price or a Widex hearing aid price comes down to the same things.

Questions

Invisible hearing aid FAQs

Which hearing aid is almost invisible?
A completely-in-canal (CIC) hearing aid. It’s custom-made and sits deep in your ear canal, so very few people will notice it, though its small removal cord can show up close. Whether it suits you depends on your hearing and your ear canal.
Which hearing aid is completely invisible?
An invisible-in-canal (IIC) hearing aid, which sits deeper still and is practically invisible, even from the side. Extended-wear devices such as Phonak Lyric also sit deep in the canal and stay in for weeks. Not every ear canal or hearing loss suits them, so we check yours first.
Are invisible hearing aids suitable for everyone?
They’re best for mild to moderate hearing loss and depend on the size and shape of your ear canal. We’ll confirm whether an invisible style is right for you at your assessment, and suggest good alternatives if not.
Is the sound quality as good as larger hearing aids?
Modern invisible aids deliver excellent sound for suitable hearing losses. For more severe loss, a slightly larger discreet style such as RITE may give more power, and we’ll guide you.
How much does it cost to buy a hearing aid?
It depends on the style, the technology level, the features and whether you need one hearing aid or two. After your hearing test we’ll show you suitable options at different price points. If you buy a hearing aid from us, your consultation, audiometry and video otoscopy are free.
Can I try invisible hearing aids before buying?
Yes. We offer a free home trial so you can experience invisible hearing aids in your daily life before deciding.
